All in all, I would say that if you are a music teacher looking for a reasonably priced program with cute songs that comes complete with a performance/accompaniment CD for your lower elementary students to perform in concert, this is a very good buy.Only a complete monster (or someone who doesn’t have kids, which is fine, btw) would hate this video, a celebration of a sea animal that is loved by its parents. A bonus was that I saved $15 by buying it on Amazon compared to another online music catalog where I had also seen it. The narration prior to each song is six rhyming couplets that tie all of the songs together that can be spoken by several different children or the same six students each time. The Teacher's Edition that comes with the kit has the piano accompaniments, singer song sheets, and lyric only pages for each song, which also comes in handy. Plus, the rhythms are simplified slightly from his recordings to make it easier for young children to perform. High quality children's voices are used for the full performance versions, which is great! I love Raffi, but having children sing along with his adult male voice doesn't always work so well. The recordings have cute orchestrations and are in a very singable range for young voices. It has recordings of both the full performance and instrumental only versions of all five songs in the revue. I am a music teacher and it is exactly what I expected it to be.
